I'm going to give a few tips.

MY TIPS!

Taking a good photograph of a
black subject is one of the hardest kinds of photography! More so
if the subject is an animal in this case a dog. But the a few
ways of getting around this problem.
Tips on taking good photographs
of your black dog!
- Try to have the light
coming from the side falling on the dog's head!
- Ask a friend or member of
your family to hold a large white card to the side of the
dog! Pointing it towards the dog's head. This will
reflect light to his/her face and highlight the dog's
eyes! This is very important.
- Sometimes I use a fill-in
flash! This is a small amount of flash used in daylight
again this is to highlight the dog's head.
- When taking photographs in
low light i.e. late evening or if I would to take a
photograph with a background of snow! I use a hand held
flash gun pointing it down towards the dog head. So any
shadows are behind the dog. However, this is just about
as hard as it gets.
- To get a good photo of
your black dog will need to take a lot pictures.
To Sum-up I hope this helps
people take better photos!
